What does the term white balance mean? How and why is it used? What's the setting on your camera?
The setting on your camera for editing the white balance is the button on the right hand side on your camera with the initials “WB”. The colour white is overall made of a mix of different colours put together. However white balance is when you edit the setting to match the area you’re taking a picture of. The temperature of a picture is changed. This is helpful as it acts like a colour corrector. This is so it doesn't look like your picture has the wrong filter portrayed upon it. There are 8 different presets- Custom, Kelvin, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Daylight, Flash, Shade and Cloudy. |
I took pictures of my own to show the difference settings in white balance you can use to change or fix the colour of your pictures.
To show the difference clearly i decided to focus on one aspect of nature. |
